Velvet is a fabric that tends to wane in and out of fashion and right now it is having a strong revival. I feel like so many of the modern pieces I am seeing on the runway could have very well been inspired by this exact dress too. This is a beautiful black label 1970s Halston made out of a luxurious, rich feeling purple velvet.
