These were THE thing to own in the 1970's no one had seen this fabric before and they were all the rage! Similar examples are held in The Met's and the Museum at FIT's permanent collection and this particular one is actually the twin of one of theirs. The notes there state: "Wrapping, tying, and folding were all habits of mind for Halston. That the designer prized simplicity
