The fabric is absolutely lovely it is a black silk chiffon with a gold stripe running through it. What is remarkable it that the entire upper portion of the dress has been formed into vertical, flat knife pleats and this is done so that each pleat's edge falls exactly along the edge of the striping. It is all so perfectly lined up that you don't even really
