To give contrast they used a ribbed knit with all the colors of the florals pulled into fine stripes on both the wide waist panel and cuffs

It is very avant-garde for its time period and a fore-runner of the look and feel you see in later decades

The kimono is fully lined with red cotton in the sleeves and upper half and that neon yellow at the sides and bottom

It creates little rows with looped "balls" all along each and has a slight 3D effect too
