This listing is for a splendid Kyo ware chawan made by noted potter, Yagi Kaiho. It is wheel thrown and the front is decorated with a hand painted depiction of a Nara deer and red autumn leaves. Nara is home to over 1200 deer that roam freely in the park near Todaiji temple. These deer are considered sacred and are designated as national
