This piece is in classic Louis XV pattern, which was patented in 1891 and displays an elegant scroll boarder on both sides of the handle. The front of the pick is monogrammed with an M in a flowing script. The reverse of the piece is marked sterling along with the maker's mark for Whiting and the patent date of 1891.
