Fire Station shutters This is what remained ofHard hats pile on a red steel bench inside the Nichitsu Mining Village fire station equipment shed, a spoke wheel and hand cranked siren on the concrete floor beside them. Dry leaves cover everything; the roller door stands half open. The shed formed part of the Ogurawa settlement's internal fire brigade infrastructure, which served a community that once numbered well over 2,000 people. Part of the Nichitsu Mining Village series.
