Vintage Persian Qashqai Rug ardabil rug Size: 293 x 80 cmThe Qashqai are a nomadic tribe from the Fars Province of southwestern Iran, migrating twice a year across the Zagros Mountains between highland summer pastures and lowland winter grazing grounds. They have a saying: "Where I am is my carpet. Where my carpet and I am is my home." For a people who travelled hundreds of kilometres each year, the rug wasn't dcor, it was home, carried on their backs between worlds. This rug is hand knotted from hand spun
