This was the case this evening when I hiked up Green Mountain in Lakewood to get a shot of Denver and the rising full moon in November 2009

For this photograph I wanted to get a perspective not normally obtained and searched for some snow across the street in Civic Center Park

Independence Eve in Denver Size:20"x30" however usually by Memorial DayWith the wildfires in Colorado (most of which are either at or nearing 100% containment) there are just a fraction of the normal fireworks display around Denver for the 4th of July. One which took place last evening was at Civic Center Park in Denver. Thousands of people showed up for the free concert by the Colorado Symphony and fireworks display to celebrate Independence Day.
