The Unikko pattern was designed in 1964, and even though Marimekkos founder Armi Ratia banned floral designs from Marimekko products, Maija Isola managed to convince her of the Unikko design. And were glad she did! Unikko has become somewhat of a hallmark pattern for Marimekko and can be found on a
