I made the setting from solid sterling and fine silver using recycled silver for the band and the back of the setting which I hand forged

It has a 3D appearance with color that ranges from orange to pink

This type of glass is known as marble cullet and is the remnants of famous antique marble runs. This glass used to be more widely available in rough pieces but much has been sold to fill aquariums and still more was remelted down to make new marbles from the antique slag pieces so there's not as much available
