New York Hero’s Fund has been fulfilling the mission of helping those who’ve made it their life’s work to help others since 2011. By providing financial support, we’ve reduced the strain of unforeseen circumstances for hundreds of families of first responders state-wide.
Emergencies like fires, illness, and tragedy touch every part of a person’s life. First responders know this firsthand because they’re the first ones on the scene. But what happens when they’re the ones affected?
By working with local and state organizations, New York Hero’s Fund alleviates the burden of tragedy for first responders and their families by providing financial aid. We’re committed to providing a support system for first responders and their families in their time of need.
Our Story
2011 - Founding of New York Hero’s Fund
A group of New York State Police Investigators found the New York Hero’s Fund to provide aid to first responder’s dealing with emergency circumstances.
2012 - First Grant
New York Hero’s Fund connects our first beneficiary with financial aid to help during a personal emergency.
Summer 2012 - First Fundraiser
New York Hero’s Fund holds our first fundraiser– a night of cruising on the Hudson River!
2013 - First Annual Golf Tournament
This was the first year NYHF founded our first annual Charity Golf Tournament. Since then, we’ve raised over $200,000 total from this yearly event.
2017 - First Scholarship Given
This was the first year of the NYHF Scholarship program. Since then, dozens of students have received financial aid from this program.
